Heavy Equipment Transport in Plant City

John Deere tractor used in farm and site work

Plant City sits between Tampa and Lakeland on I-4. We haul heavy equipment through that gap from the Frostproof shop. 863-632-7302.

Dealers and shops on the I-4 strip send us iron both directions. Tampa in the morning, Polk in the afternoon. Shop lots here are usually wide enough. The ramps are the part we plan. If your machine is tall, we may skip a ramp and use a surface road.

Lowboy and RGN Transport in Plant City

Shop lots here are usually wide enough. The I-4 ramps are the part we plan. If your machine is tall, we may skip a ramp and use a surface road.

The RGN helps when a lot has no rear room. Soft ground still shows up behind shops after rain. Tell us the surface before we promise a front load.

Oversized Load Transport in Plant City

A local Plant City move can still cross into Hillsborough. We check permits before we drop the deck. Wide loads get flags and an escort when Florida requires them.

If the load is only wide for a few miles of I-4, we still permit the miles that need it. Height is the other failure. We tape it before we pick a ramp.

Heavy Haul Trucking in Plant City

Dealers and shops on the I-4 strip send us iron both directions. Tampa in the morning, Polk in the afternoon. We can price both legs.

Packing-house gates get busy with other trucks. Tell us about that traffic so we do not block a line while we kneel the RGN. We haul up to 82,000 pounds.

Construction Equipment Transport in Plant City

Packing-house work and commercial pads both need machines. We haul the excavators and loaders that work those yards. If the site is behind a packing house, tell us about truck traffic at the gate.

A loader can start the week in Plant City and finish it in Brandon or Bartow. We price the miles you give us. Send both addresses if you already know the second stop.

The same trailer and driver also cover other jobs. If yours is different, see our heavy haul trucking pages.

Heavy Equipment Hauling in Plant City

Mulberry and Lakeland are next door. A Plant City pickup can finish in either without a long deadhead.

Hauling here is often a dealer lot that needs the machine off the yard today. Call 863-632-7302 with the weight and both addresses.

Equipment Transport for Contractors and Rental Companies in Plant City

If your counter is in Plant City and the hole is in Tampa, we already know that drive. Call with the fleet number and the window.

Fleet lists can go to Donald@maximumtowingteam.com. We will tell you what fits one trailer day.

Plant City I-4, US-92, and SR-60 Route Planning for Tall Loads

Plant City gives us more than one way in. I-4 runs the east-west spine. US-92 and SR-60 cut across town on surface roads. SR-39 heads north toward the farm country. Which one we use depends on the height and width of the machine, not on which is shortest.

A tall excavator or a dozer with a cab guard can be a problem under a low bridge or signal arm. We tape the load at the shop and check the route against that number. If a ramp is a bad fit, we take a surface road and plan the extra time.

A lowboy trailer keeps the deck low and gives us the most room under overhead structures. We use it first on tall iron. The RGN comes in when the lot has no room to load from the rear.

Send us the machine height with the cab, the exhaust, and any beacon on top. Many height problems come from a small part nobody thought to measure. Call 863-632-7302 and tell us the pickup street and the road you would like us to avoid, if there is one.

Dozer and Track Loader Transport in Plant City

Dozers and track loaders are the machines that shape a pad, and Plant City has plenty of pads to shape. We haul them with a Kenworth tractor and a lowboy, since they are low, heavy, and need a long ramp.

Weight comes first. We haul up to 82,000 pounds, and a big dozer can use most of that. Send the model and the operating weight from the data plate. If the machine has a ripper, a winch, or a wide blade, say so, since those change the width and the permit.

Tracks tear things up. Ask us where the machine will walk onto the deck. Pavement takes steel tracks badly, so a dirt shoulder or a set of mats is better. After rain, a dozer can leave a trench in a lot behind a shop.

We chain the machine at the points the manufacturer lists and check the chains after the first few miles. A dozer that shifts on a deck is a safety problem for everyone behind us. Call 863-632-7302 with the weight, the blade width, and both addresses.

Plant City Packing-House Yards and Farm Equipment Hauling

Plant City is farm country, and the farms need machines. Tractors, loaders, and implements go to repair shops along the highway and back to the field. Packing houses use forklifts and yard trucks that sometimes need a ride, too.

We move farm equipment on the same trailers we use for construction iron. The difference is the load. A tractor with a wide rear tire or a folding implement can be over 8 ft 6 in wide. We measure it and check the permit rules for the route.

Packing-house gates are busy. Trucks line up, and a kneeling RGN blocks a lane. Tell us when the dock is quiet. Early morning and the gaps between harvest runs tend to be easier than mid-day.

Field edges are the other problem. A farm lane may be dirt, sand, or a soft shoulder. We would rather meet on the pavement and have the operator drive the machine to the deck than sink the trailer. Send a photo of the lane and we will say what the truck can do.

Plant City Soft Ground and Rainy Season Loading

Summer afternoons in Central Florida bring rain, and rain turns the back of a shop lot into mud. A machine that loaded fine in the morning can be stuck by three. Ground is the thing we ask about on almost every Plant City call.

Gravel, packed shell, and pavement hold a loaded trailer. Grass, fresh fill, and wet sand do not. If the pickup is soft, we have a few choices. We can meet on a firmer spot, load from the street, or schedule for a drier part of the day.

Here is what helps us plan:

  • The surface under the machine and in front of it
  • Whether the lot slopes toward a ditch or a retention pond
  • Any recent rain or a forecast for the day
  • A second person on site who can move cones or open a gate

If the ground is the problem, we will say so before we leave Frostproof. A late start costs less than a recovery. Dispatch is open 24 hours. Call 863-632-7302 and describe the lot.

Plant City Equipment Delivery Between Tampa and Lakeland

Plant City sits between two of our busiest stops. A machine from a yard in Plant City may be headed to a pad in Tampa, or a dealer in Lakeland may need one hauled to the east side of Hillsborough County. We already run that stretch.

Because the shop is in Frostproof, a Plant City pickup often fits with a Polk run. If you have two machines in different towns, send both addresses and we can look at one trailer day. The Lakeland page shows what we cover on the Polk side.

Most Plant City calls start with a dealer or a contractor who needs a machine off a lot. The usual details are enough: model, weight, pickup street, drop address, and the hour the site will take the machine.

For the wider county, see Hillsborough County. To get a plan for your move, request a quote or call 863-632-7302.
